Noted as one of the safest cities in Georgia in the 2019 report, Pooler was originally a railroad connection route to Savannah brainchild of Robert W. Pooler. It now has become a bustling city marked by newer construction. Enjoy an array of shops at the Tanger Outlets (an outdoor shopping mall), play frisbee golf at Tom Triplett Park, walk back in history at the Mighty Eighth Museum, or relax in reclining seats at the Pooler GTX while watching the latest films.

The city of Pooler began without plans of being a city at all. In fact, it was originally designed to be a railroad route to the already established city of Savannah. However, after General Sherman’s attempt at siege on Savannah a man named Ben Rothwell decided to try and rebuild the city beginning with the then impoverished area now known as Pooler. He bought up acres of land for locals to utilize and build new lives and homes for themselves. Slowly over time the city has added town halls, post offices, museums, and amenities which truly boomed in the 1990s.
